Helianthus or sunflowers - Sunflowers are usually tall annuals, that bear one wide capitula (flower head) with bright yellow ray florets at the outside and yellow or dark maroon disc florets inside. During growth, sunflowers tilt during the day to face the sun, but stop once they begin blooming. You will find once mature the sunflowers are generally facing east.
