Trout

Trout were introduced to NZ and Australia, back in 1848 by transporting ova in ice on board steamer boats, taking up to 74 days travelling. The cooler waters in NZ have suited the trout species and they have thrived to great lengths offering superb sport fishing in the rivers and lakes.

Jumping: back to belly = 150mm head to tail = 400mm
